Are you licensed to grow hemp?
Yes, the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Commission has issued us multiple licenses that allow us to legally grow and market hemp and hemp-based products.
Where does your hemp come from?
We are proud to source every aspect of our farm and product from local licensed partners throughout North Carolina. The variety of hemp we grow won the 2018 Selector’s Cup for highest CBD concentration. The Selector’s Cup is a community of licensed hemp farmers from around the United States who take part in a contest to determine who has the highest quality hemp flower. Learn more about it here.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally-occurring compound in hemp. It is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis, distinguishing it from delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the ingredient in cannabis that gets users high. Unlike THC, CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid and does not cause a high.
What is the difference between CBD from industrial hemp and marijuana?
CBD taken from hemp and marijuana is the exact same compound, but hemp is required to have a THC level below 0.3% dry weight concentration. The characteristic of having this minimal THC is what most use to differentiate industrial hemp from marijuana.
Will CBD help improve any conditions?
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prohibits making claims about whether CBD can help with specific ailments, but did recently approved the CBD-based drug Epidiolex for the treatment of seizures. Other medical studies, found here, suggest that CBD has potential as a treatment for multiple anxiety disorders and a range of other potential health benefits.
How do I use your products?
The hemp and CBD products we produce can be used in several different ways. CBD oil can be applied sublingually under the tongue for 60-90 seconds before being swallowed for the fastest absorption, directly applied topically to the skin, or blended into beverages like smoothies and juices.
What is the difference between CBD and hemp seed oil?
CBD is extracted, either through lipid, ethanol, or CO2 extraction, from the plant’s flowers, which contain the cannabinoids and terpenes. Hemp seed oil is produced by pressing the plant’s seeds. Hemp seed oil does not contain CBD or terpenes, giving it a primarily dietary use.
